Users will now be able to link assets to recording forms within IndustrySafe. System Administrators can complete an asset inventory to include all of their assets (similar to completing a facility profile). Once the asset inventory is populated in IndustrySafe, key asset information (such as vehicle information) can be auto-populated on the appropriate form. For example when selecting a vehicle number for a vehicle incident, key vehicle information will be populated on the vehicle section of the incident recording form. Users will also be able to conduct trending on these assets on various reports throughout the IndustrySafe software.
Users will now be able to weigh each item of an inspection checklist by assigning points to each inspection item so that different inspection items can be weighted more or less heavily in achieving compliance. In the System Functions area of IndustrySafe, IndustrySafe System Administrators can now assign points to each item of a checklist and a percentage to each checklist item status value (i.e. compliance and non-compliance). The compliance score for each checklist item is calculated by multiplying the status value by the item score. The total inspection score is calculated by summing up each individual compliance score and dividing by the number of total points that can be achieved. By default all inspection items will be weighted equally so that your current inspection compliance rates will not change unless your IndustrySafe System Administrators modify scores and/or checklist status values.
Hazard Form and Reporting Log Updates
The IndustrySafe hazard form has been updated to include additional fields on mitigated risk including fields for proposed mitigation, mitigated severity, mitigated probability, and mitigated risk. A hazard status field has also been added to the form. In addition all of these fields are now available on the hazards reporting log.
OSHA Reporting Updates
Due to modifications in OSHA reporting effective January 1, 2015, the IndustrySafe team has updated the IndustrySafe software to assist with these reporting requirements. This modification requires organizations to notify OSHA (within 8 or 24 hours) of death, hospitalization of an employee as an in-patient, or an OSHA recordable injury resulting in amputation or loss of an eye (previously the OSHA reportable requirements were for death and/or a hospitalization of three or more employees). IndustrySafe updates now include an alert to notify employees of OSHA reportable incidents as well as the ability to track the information reported to OSHA within the recordkeeping section of the Incident Investigation form.
The JSA module has been enhanced to include the addition of columns for PPE and Responsible Party in the JSA recording form and reports. The IndustrySafe team also created a new tool to allow users to create a JSA from a catalog of existing JSAs. The JSA update also includes a new report print out, and an enhanced printer friendly view.
