Navigation Menu Redesign
IndustrySafe’s navigation features a brand-new look! The software’s primary and secondary navigation bars have been consolidated into a single, streamlined menu.
To navigate to a module’s summary screen, simply select the appropriate module’s name from the menu, just as you would before.
To access menu items that would have previously been displayed under IndustrySafe’s secondary, gray navigation bar, hover your mouse over the module’s tab. Additional menu items for that module will then display in a pull-down menu. For tablet and mobile usage, you can simply tap on the module you would like to view additional options for and the list will then come down. This navigation redesign greatly improves greatly the responsive design of the IndustrySafe application, ensuring that when on smaller screens, the application scales to that device's screen size.
For example, to navigate to the Training Module’s Class Schedule Summary Screen, hover your mouse over the Training tab, and click “Class Summary” from the pull-down menu.
Now, when you are clicking the "Search" button, the filter options are presented in a modal that floats on top of the summary screen.
Depending upon the number of modules your organization is currently using, and compared to monitor width, a "More" option can house modules or reports that don't fit within the monitor width.
We also redesigned the section for viewing account information and accessing systems functions. It is now located on the top right side of the menu as before, but instead, it now features a drop down that includes the following information and options: your name, your company's name, "Account & Billing," "System Functions," "Help," and lastly, "Logout."
Summary Screen Updates
The green plus button that was previously located on the top left corner of the gray navigation bar which allowed for new records to be added has been redesigned as well. It is now found on the top right side above the summary screen, and functions as it previously did.
New Reports Center
All of your reports will now be moved to a reports center, which will centralize your reports in one place, as opposed to the previous "Reports and Analysis" option within the gray navigation bar. This consolidation allows users that heavily report out of IndustrySafe to do so from one centralized location, as well as a better design and bonus features mentioned down below.
In the new Reports center, you will now have the option to view Recent Reports, My Reports, Shared Reports, and Standard Reports. From there, the module the report was created in, as well as the Report Type, its File Name, and Date and Time will be displayed.
Reports' delete and scheduling features have also been made easier for users to access.
Contractor Log Reports
The Contractor field has been added to the following log reports:
- Incidents Corrective Action Log
- Safety Incidents Log
- Security Incidents Log
- Incidents Log
- Environmental Incidents Log
- Vehicle Incidents Log
- Employee Injury Log
We also created a Contractor Log which can be generated within the new Reports Center under the System Functions module. The Contractor Log summarizes details of each contractor.
Customer Request and Fixes
- The Inspection Recording Form has gone through a substantial speed improvement for clients with lengthy checklists and/or attachment utilization.
- Over 25 pictures will now be able to be displayed through module-specific print-out reports.
- Inspection checklists can now be imported using Firefox.
- A Section and Location import issue is now resolved.
- An additional round of default fields has been added to the following log reports:

- Observation Corrective Action Log
- Hazard Corrective Action Log
- Corrective Actions Log
- Tasks Log
- Events Log
- Required Training Log
- Observation Details Log
- Training Activity Log
