    Automated Imports

    Importing Hours Worked into IndustrySafe:

    Organizations can automatically transfer hours worked data by location, worker type and month into IndustrySafe.  Data will be transferred to the Monthly Statistics Area in System Functions and utilized when IndustrySafe generates the OSHA 300A summary report as well as the Recordable Injury/Incident Rates in reports and dashboards.  The import can be run using an FTP process or by manually importing a file into IndustrySafe.  An audit log can be generated in System Functions that displays the results of the import.

    Importing Facility Data into IndustrySafe:

    To begin using IndustrySafe, you will need to enter data about your facilities or locations.  If you have a small number of locations, and do not wish to group them into regions or divisions, simply go to System Functions > Company Profile and click on Add New Facility to add a new location.  You may also click on the Facility Summary link to see a list of your existing facilities.

    One-Time Import
    You may also send us a file with your location/facility data and we will import it into IndustrySafe for you.  Please read this article for more details about a one-time import of your facilities.

    On-Going Imports
    The import can be run using an FTP process or by manually importing a file into IndustrySafe.  An audit log can be generated in System Functions that displays the results of the import.

    This integration is designed for organizations that may already have a database for existing safety data and/or a front end application that allows for the entry of safety data, but are missing key analytics and detailed reporting of this data.  With our corrective action import service, you provide us with your corrective action data based on our specifications and we input the data into IndustrySafe at a set frequency defined by the client.

    IndustrySafe FTP Server Information:

    Once an FTP account has been setup for you on the IndustrySafe server, you may begin uploading or downloading data depending on the services you have purchased.  A user name and password will be provided to you once an account has been created.  IndustrySafe uses a secure FTP server so you will need to be able to connect to the server over port 22 and have an FTP client which supports sFTP.

    Section and Location Import Service: 

    For client's using IndustrySafe's section and location fields, IndustrySafe provides an import service to import a large number of values.

    One-Time Import
    You may send us a file with your section and location data and we will import it into IndustrySafe for you.

    Facility/Location Hierarchy Setup Assistance

    As part of the IndustrySafe Setup and Configuration Assistance Service, TRA will assist you with setting up your Facility / Location Hierarchy.

    To begin using IndustrySafe, you will need to enter data about your facilities or locations.  If you have a small number of locations, and do not wish to group them into regions or divisions, simply go to System Functions > Company Profile and click on the Add New Facility link to add a new location.  You may also click on the Facility Summary link to see a list of your existing facilities.

    IndustrySafe also provides the capability to group your facilities and generate roll-up reports.  To enable this feature, go to System Functions > Setup > Edit Forms and select Company Profile for the Recording Form and Basic Information for the Section.  On that screen there are four fields related to the hierarchy in IndustrySafe: Business Group, Region, Division, and Facility.  You may change the name of any of these fields, and you may enable any of the fields above facility to help you group and organize your facilities.  Facilities are grouped into divisions, divisions are grouped into regions, and regions are grouped into business groups.

    To add new options for business groups, regions, or divisions, just click on the Drop Down hyperlink next to the appropriate field.
