In June of 2018 Adrian Davila joined the IndustrySafe team as a Technical Support Analyst.
Adrian is part of IndustrySafe’s Tier II support team, which means he assists with the support cases that require a look at the more technical back-end of IndustrySafe. This includes setting up automatic data exports, updating IndustrySafe’s databases, and resolving specific technical errors.
To learn more about Adrian outside of the IndustrySafe office, read the brief Q&A session we had with him.
What is your hometown?
I was born and raised in Bronx, NY. I moved with my family to the Poconos area of Pennsylvania at 16 or 17 but the Bronx will always be my hometown.
What did you do before working here?
Before coming to IndustrySafe, I wore many hats at a SaaS company that provided small businesses with an all-encompassing digital marketing solution. I managed the Client Care and Projects doing everything from billing, relations, content creation, and training to operations, tech support, project management, and web development. I also kept on top of the latest digital marketing trends, industry developments, and taught myself to code along the way.
It was a lot of work but I’ve always been eager to learn and solve problems, especially within the tech space. It’s given me a very broad background and exposure to all the inner workings of a small tech company. I’m very happy and fortunate to have worked there and learned so much.
What do you like most about your job?
I get to work with software that helps promote safety. Most of all though, I love the problem-solving aspect and flexibility of what I do. I can approach problems in multiple ways and, if I get bored or stuck, I can switch to a different type of task or try a new approach. There’s also no true mastery level in this space; you can be great at what you do, but the industry and tools are always changing and if you don’t adapt you get left behind.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I’ve tried acting as a kid. I’m a bit obsessed with the post-apocalyptic genre.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I like hanging out, playing pool, learning new things, messing with tech and trying different foods. I also like gaming when I can and watching movies.
