In September of 2018, Yash Pandey came aboard the IndustrySafe team as a Software Developer Intern.
Yash has been hard at work assisting our software development team in coding and testing updates included in our software releases. Most recently, he has lent a hand in developing some of the new features to come with IndustrySafe's upcoming 5.16 release.
To learn more about Yash, take some time to read the brief Q&A session we had with him.
Where is your hometown?
I was born and spent most of my childhood in New Delhi, India. However, I’ve spent about 5 years in Dubai and 3 years in Singapore before finally settling down back in New Delhi.
What did you before working here?
I am an undergraduate student at Drexel University studying Computer Science.
What do you like most about your job?
Since this is my first internship, I wanted to get a very thorough experience of working in the field I’ve decided to study in and make the most of this opportunity to leave a mark in my professional life. I really enjoy the amiable environment of the company and the willingness of my supervisors and co-workers to help achieve the goals I set for myself for this job. Further, due to the wide range of tasks I am assigned, it has given me the opportunity to learn about a wide range of topics.
What would people be surprised to know about you?
I am an Epee Fencer at the Drexel University Fencing Club. It’s a sport that I had never done before coming to college and 1.5 years into it, I really enjoy the sport and it’s the best decision I’ve made in my time at Drexel so far.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not at work?
I enjoy playing video games (such as League of Legends, For Honor, Overwatch) and when I’m not playing video games, I’m at the gym, fencing practice or cooking (another hobby)!
