The IndustrySafe Safety Software team is excited to announce the launch of IndustrySafe’s 5.11 Release, which was rolled out to customers throughout the week of June 12. This release was developed so that you can comply with OSHA’s New Electronic Recordkeeping Rule that went into effect in January of 2017.

Complying with OSHA's Final Rule to Improve Recordkeeping
In May of 2016, OSHA issued a new final rule requiring certain organizations to submit their 2016 OSHA 300A data electronically in specific formats. However, OSHA has recently issued an update to publicly announce that the agency intends to propose extending the rule's first July 1, 2017 submission deadline. Overall, this delay will place less stress on employers and allow you additional time to prepare to comply with the ruling.
The 5.11 update makes it simple and easy to comply with the rule by allowing you to generate a CSV file compatible with OSHA’s electronic submission requirements.
Prior to the 5.11 release, IndustrySafe users have been able to generate OSHA 300A reports within the Incidents module. With the 5.11 release, you now have the option to choose “OSHA CSV” as the output format of your report, which can then be uploaded to OSHA’s Injury Tracking Application (ITA) site. The site has gone live as of August 1, 2017 and is currently accepting 300A data. Organizations have until December 1st, 2017 to submit their data to the ITA, which can be accessed here.
You will be notified automatically if your data does not meet OSHA’s data validation criteria. IndustrySafe will display a pop-up message citing exactly which errors have occurred. You will be given the option to ignore these errors and continue generating the report if you so choose.
