Learn About Our Upcoming 5.10 Release

Next month, the IndustrySafe Safety Software team will launch IndustrySafe's 5.10 release, which will roll out the Form Editor tool to the Training, Claims, Industrial Hygiene, and System Functions forms.

The 5.10 update also includes a video on demand add-on to the Training Module.

With the 5.10 release, customers that purchase this video on demand add-on will be able to deliver online training videos within IndustrySafe to groups of learners in a classroom environment.

Video on Demand allows training managers to combine instructor training with online training. Instructors can start, pause, and continue a training video as needed to provide learners with additional guidance on a topic, field questions, and allow for face-to-face interaction between trainers and learners.

Downloadable test questions and answers are provided within IndustrySafe for each video course, and instructors can easily print and distribute these quizzes to learners. Then after the course is complete, instructors can use IndustrySafe's class results wizard to record and track results within the Training module.

Each class within IndustrySafe's course catalog will be available in a Video on Demand format.

For more information about IndustrySafe's Video on Demand training, register for one of our upcoming webinars, or watch our latest blog video.

OSHA Releases Specs for Electronic Submission of Data

OSHA has recently released documentation so that the IndustrySafe Safety Software Team can begin developing an Application Programming Interface (API) and CSV file upload feature that will allow our users to electronically submit their recordkeeping data to OSHA from IndustrySafe.

As a reminder, in May of 2016, OSHA released a final rule requiring the electronic submission of recordkeeping data. This rule went into effect on January 1, 2017, and will require certain organizations to electronically submit data from their 2016 Form 300A to OSHA by July 1, 2017.

Based on the technical specifications provided by OSHA, IndustrySafe will develop a file upload feature and API so that the electronic submittal of recordkeeping data to OSHA from IndustrySafe will be as easy and seamless as possible. Stay tuned for more information about this planned update.

To learn more about the ways in which this final rule will impact your recordkeeping in 2017 and how IndustrySafe can help, register for our upcoming webinar which will be held in conjunction with Industrial Safety and Hygiene News.

Meet Our Team: Spotlight on Eileen Callaghan

In December of 2016, Eileen Callaghan joined the IndustrySafe team as a User Experience Designer and Business Analyst, bringing with her over 20 years of valuable design experience and UX insight.

To learn more about Eileen, read the following Q&A session:

What is your hometown?
I was born and raised in Philadelphia, PA but haven’t spent my entire life in this area. For a number of years I lived in Brooklyn and Manhattan.

What did you do before working here?
I’ve been working as a UX Designer for some time now. Most recently I was working as a consultant designing the flow and UX to onboarding users for a cyber security product. They were out to catch black hat hacker types.

What would people be surprised to know about you?
I was the very first web designer hired by Bloomberg.com. They knew they had to uplift the quality of the site as Mike Bloomberg didn’t care for the animated puppy gif.

What do you enjoy doing when you're not at work?
Riding my bike long distances, reading, hanging out with friends, cooking, and traveling.
