Philadelphia,
PA (PRWEB) June 24, 2009 - TRA (www.industrysafe.com) is pleased to announce
the release of an Industrial Hygiene Module of its IndustrySafe Safety
Management product. IndustrySafe Safety Management Software provides
organizations with web-based safety data management tools including incident
tracking, OSHA recordkeeping, and OSHA logs, inspections, training tracking,
hazards, behavioral based safety, claims, corrective actions and more.
TRA
has launched an Industrial Hygiene Module of IndustrySafe Safety Software
allowing users to track and analyze industrial hygiene sampling including
qualitative exposure assessments, area sampling, and personal monitoring.
Agents can be tracked and recorded as well as Similar Exposure Groups.
IndustrySafe's Industrial Hygiene Module allows organizations to comply with
the sampling recordkeeping requirements of OSHA 1910 Subpart Z; in which
different hazardous substances require various exposure assessments and 29 CFR
1910.1020, "Access to employee exposure and medical records" in which employees
must be notified when an exposure occurs and that records regarding exposure
assessments must be easily accessible and available for up to thirty years.
The
Industrial Hygiene Module of IndustrySafe allows Environmental Health and
Safety Professionals and Industrial Hygienists to track, record, and monitor
the assessments and testing that is required to ensure a safe work environment
for employees. The qualitative exposure assessment allows for qualitative
interviews as well as a risk assessment and hazard controls; the area
monitoring provides for sampling of an area for single or multiple agents;
while the personal monitoring provides for testing of a specific employee for
single or multiple agents. The Agent Summary allows IndustrySafe Safety
Software users to track all necessary agents and their full term, short term,
and ceiling limits. The Similar Exposure Group Summary allows for tracking of
groups that share common exposure profiles. The Industrial Hygiene Module
allows for the tracking and monitoring for the sampling and exposure
assessments that are required for a complete monitoring plan.
The
Industrial Hygiene Module is also designed to work seamlessly with the other
modules of IndustrySafe Safety Software. Industrial Hygienists can utilize the
IndustrySafe Inspection Module to conduct industrial hygiene audits and
reviews. The Corrective Action module allows Industrial Hygienists to keep
track of controls and their implementation. Industrial Hygienists can utilize
the Training Module to track required training for personal protective
equipment, review of chemical exposure, over exposure, hazardous communication,
and other necessary training. The Hazard Module can be used to track hazards
and their associated risks and the Incident Module to track any environmental
spills and releases (or any other type of environmental, health, and safety
incident).
"When
building this new Industrial Hygiene Module, we took the same guiding
principles of the other modules of IndustrySafe Safety Software: clear easy to
use data entry forms; standard reports; and notifications and reminder emails
designed to comply or exceed regulatory compliance; and applied them to the
important area of industrial hygiene." explains, Clare Epstein, Vice President
of Information Technology for TRA. To assist organizations in learning more
about industrial hygiene and the IndustrySafe Safety Software, TRA will be
offering free webinars on the topic. Individuals can sign up for webinars at
