Make a Field Required

Making a field required means that a user must complete the field in order to receive a successful save message.

Quick Steps Example: Making a Field Required

1.

Open the System Functions module by selecting the System Functions tab in the main menu.

2.

On the vertical menu select Set-Up, then select Edit Forms.

3.

In the Recording Form drop down, select the Recording Form where the drop down appears.

4.

In the Section drop down, select the Section where the field appears.

5.

Find the field, in the required column select yes.

6.

Select the Save button.

7.

On the recording form the field will have a red asterisk next to its label.
