Edit Inspection Checklists

Inspection Checklists are divided into two categories: Safety Inspection Checklists and Security Inspection Checklists. Within Safety Inspection Checklists there are numerous Inspection Types based on various regulatory agencies. A System Administrator is able to edit existing checklists or add new checklists. Checklists are comprised of a checklists name, number and checklists items. Each checklists item consists of a checklist number, reference number and description. If adding new checklists, it is recommended that they be added them under the general Safety Inspection topic. All checklists are modified in the same way, regardless of inspection type.

Quick Steps Example: Editing an Exiting Inspection Area, Subpart or Topic
1.Open the System Functions module by selecting the System Functions tab in the main menu.  
2. On the vertical menu select Set-Up, then select Edit Inspection Checklists.  
3.Select a specific inspection type.  
4.If you select an inspection type that is associated with a regulatory agency also select a specific Subpart and Topic.  
5.Select the Edit Drop Down link.  
6.Edit a particular Area, Subpart or Topic.  
7.Select the Save button.  
 

Quick Steps Example: Adding a New Inspection Area, Subpart or Topic
1.Open the System Functions module by selecting the System Functions tab in the main menu.  
2. On the vertical menu select Set-Up, then select Edit Inspection Checklists.  
3.Select a specific inspection type.  
4.If you select an inspection type that is associated with a regulatory agency also select a specific Subpart and Topic.  
5.Select the Edit Drop Down link.  
6.Select the Add button.  
7.Enter the new value in the blank field and select the  
8.Select the Save button.     

Quick Steps Example: Archiving an Inspection Area, Subpart or Topic
1.Open the System Functions module by selecting the System Functions tab in the main menu.  
2. On the vertical menu select Set-Up, then select Edit Inspection Checklists.  
3.Select a specific inspection type.  
4.If you select an inspection type that is associated with a regulatory agency also select a specific Subpart and Topic.  
5.Select the Edit Drop Down link.  
6.Find the value you wish to archive. Change the status from Available to Disable.  
7.Select the Save button.  
8.The value will no longer appear on any new records. The value will still appear on any historical records where it was selected.  

Quick Steps Example: Editing an Exiting Checklists Item

3.Select a specific inspection type.  
4.If you select an inspection type that is associated with a regulatory agency also select a specific Subpart and Topic.  
5.Find the Checklist Item you wish to edit.  
6.Make the appropriate edits.  
7.Select the Save button.

3.Select a specific inspection type.

6.Enter the new item, remember to assign it a checklist number, reference number and description.  
7.Select the Save button.

3.Select a specific inspection type.  
4.If you select an inspection type that is associated with a regulatory agency also select a specific Subpart and Topic.  
5.Find the item you wish to archive. Change the status from Available to Disable.  
6.Select the Save button.  
7.The item will no longer appear on any new records. The value will still appear on any historical records where the checklists was used.
